Admission requirements
New South Wales
To be eligible to apply for admission to the Honours program, a student must have completed 160 cp from years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Social Work pass degree, with a grade point average of at least 5.50 on the ACU seven point scale.
Queensland
To be eligible to apply for admission to the Honours program, a student must have completed 160 cp from years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Social Work pass degree, with a grade point average of at least 5.50 on the ACU seven point scale.
ACT
To be eligible to apply for admission to the Honours program, a student must have completed 160 cp from years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Social Work pass degree, with a grade point average of at least 5.50 on the ACU seven point scale.
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
International students need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

Completion requirements
To qualify for the Honours degree, a student must complete 320 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 60 cp Specified Foundation Units (Part A);
- 20 cp from University Core Curriculum Units (Part B);
- 130 cp from Social Work units, including 10 cp unit (SWTP236) incorporating Community Engagement (Part C);
- 60 cp from Field Education Units (30 cp at Honours level) (Part D);
- 10 cp from Social Work Honours Units (Part E)
- 40 cp from Allied Health Honours Units (Part F).
Exit points
A student who has successfully completed 230 cp from units, and 10 cp from Core Curriculum units may exit from the course with the following qualification:
Bachelor of Human Services.
Progression requirements
The Honours program is incorporated into the final two years of the Bachelor of Social Work degree.
Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator
