Townsville Leadership Centre

Our Leadership Centre in Townsville offers higher education opportunities to the region. With a population of around 200,000 people, the Townsville area is also home to the largest Australian Defence Force (ADF) garrison, with approximately 6,000 current serving ADF members and almost 9,000 former serving members.

Located in the middle of the city, the centre allows ACU to support the region, ADF veterans and their families to pursue their higher education goals.

A diploma program is a great introduction to the specific area you want to study. You'll be supported throughout the course and, after successfully completing it, you'll be able to transition into the second year of your chosen degree.

Microcredentials are short certification courses that that focus on a particular area of study and allow you to learn new professional skills. They are a fast and practical way to upskill.

Learn more about the microcredential in project management below - a skill that is in great demand.

Upon completing two microcredentials, you will receive credit equivalent to one unit (10 credit points) toward ACU's Diploma in Business. You may also be eligible to apply for credit towards other undergraduate programs,
