Holy Cross Tuckerbox is a volunteer-run food outlet designed to assist people with budget constraints. The annexe, church and the breezeway are transformed into a small grocery and afternoon tea centre with groceries, bread, fresh fruit and vegetables available for a nominal handling fee. Food and grocery items are mostly provided by Foodbank NSW/ACT and OzHarvest.

As an ACU staff member, you can apply for up to five days each year to participate in approved community engagement activities that contribute to the common good, address social justice issues in the community, and help those experiencing disadvantage or marginalisation.
This policy has been developed to support staff to participate in community engagement activities and outlines time release arrangements during normal working hours.
