All Thing Equal: Cooking School

All Things Equal runs a 9 week cooking school providing 1:1 support for young adults with disability. You will be paired with a participant for the entirety of the course (1 afternoon a week) where you will explore, develop and achieve great things in the kitchen together. At the end of the class, the group have a dinner party, eating all the food you just created. The cooking school encouraged participants to develop real world skills in a real world environment. As a volunteer, you will support the participant to challenge themselves to develop new skills and gain greater independence. This term’s cuisine is Italian and we are SO excited to cook with you! 

The role

• Provide 1:1 support to a participant throughout the cooking school
• Encourage and challenge participants to grow their skills cooking and within the kitchen
• Encourage confidence and facilitate socialising between different participants
• Enjoy a dinner party at the end of each class with the group!
