The Big OC Foundation is a national mental health movement, offering support for young people experiencing mental health challenges and is delivered through positive activity-based interventions. The Big OC centres around the fact that movement is key, keeping active is necessary not only for physical health but mental health.

The Role

You will play a key role in organising and delivering this Sport for Development program in a small team and under the guidance of community partners. Also, you will be required to connect across partner organisations and schools to create a positive and welcoming environment and mentor young people while involved. Some familiarity with sport is an advantage but not essential.

To ensure the program’s success you will be expected to attend planning meetings and work across a broad range of community to coordinate deliverables. You will be onboarded by key personnel from The Big OC Foundation and receive ongoing mentoring and support throughout the program. Ultimately, you will need to work effectively in a team and be a self-starter, willing to take initiative and demonstrate cultural competence working across a broad range of stakeholders.
