We offer training and ongoing support in being a sighted guide, and you gain invaluable skills and experience in how to guide others, be inclusive and improve access and inclusion for people who are blind and vision impaired, while having lots of fun along the way!
Provide sighted guiding to a gym participant, guide them through a gym circuit, changing weights and orienting them to the machinery. Gym program is overseen by a personal trainer.
Provide sighted guiding to Blind Tennis participants, orienting them to the court, feeding balls, collecting balls, scoring and generally offering assistance to the program. Tennis program is overseen by a tennis coach.
Additionally, students selected to volunteer in the gym or tennis programs may also be offered opportunity to attend group walking events and be a sighted guide for a blind or vision impaired participant.
