Campus Life is a day program for young adults with disability (17 to 25 year olds) that transitions school students into the next phase of their lives. The small group of 6-8 participants spend the day together with a Group Leader.
The program gives participants the opportunity to mingle with their peers at a tertiary campus - in the dining hall, library, gym, café and seminar rooms.
The Campus Life program is based in an adult learning environment with choices and lots of fun. It generally involves speech therapy, an exercise class, and music therapy. Participants do a lecture quiz on current affairs and entertainment news, some Business or Arts studies, and passion projects. The curriculum is accessible, visual, engaging and suitable for adults with intellectual disability. There is de-sensitising space and support for augmented communication.
