Edmund Rice Camps Brisbane delivers 6 camps per year where children from the local community are referred by organisations to attend the unique experience. Volunteers are recruited from a variety of schools and universities to act as one-to-one mentors and leaders providing a positive role model.
Camps are 5 days long and include all training and orientation as well as a variety of games and team building activities.
As a volunteer you will be matched with a child aged between 6 and 16 and will be their ‘buddy’ for the week, acting as a role model, playing games, participating in program activities and meals.
You will have plenty of free time throughout the week and meet some amazing people, all committed to the program and its outcomes.
There are 5 places available per camp.
