The Former Origin Greats (FOGS) ARTIE Academy provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in Queensland Primary and Secondary schools, the opportunity to participate in a program that encourages and rewards improvements in school attendance, behaviour, academic achievement, effort and ultimately achieving a Year 12 attainment (or its equivalent).
The ARTIE Academy Tutoring Program is a volunteer-based initiative of the ARTIE Academy that assists to ‘Close the Gap’ in educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in selected schools across Queensland.
The aim of this program is to develop confidence and increase ability in numeracy and literacy. The program achieves this through supporting students in class and tutoring students outside of the classroom one-on-one, as well as in small groups.

Tutor and Mentor support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in class and outside of the classroom one-on-one, as well as in small groups. Tutors will mainly be placed in core subjects (i.e. Math, English, Science).
