The incoming editorial team of Academy of Management Journal (AMJ) invites applications for a Paper and Idea Development Workshop to be hosted by the Australian Catholic University in Sydney on 20 November 2019.
20 November 2019
Australian Catholic University
The Peter Cosgrove Centre
Sydney, Australia
The goals of the workshop are to provide information about the AMJ review process and develop ideas and working manuscripts with the aim of later submission for review at AMJ. Consistent with the mission of AMJ, submissions on all management-relevant topics, at all levels of analysis, and using all empirical methods are invited for the workshop.
The workshop is a one-day event and will include presentations by members of AMJ’s incoming editorial team and an author of a recently-accepted AMJ article, as well as roundtable discussions with participants. There is no fee for attending the workshop. A tentative agenda is below.
Participation is by application only. Interested scholars should register and submit an extended abstract (between 5 and 10 pages of text) of their project proposal by 10 November 2019. Submissions from both faculty and doctoral students are welcome.
On the AOM PDW website, please scroll down to AMJ and click on Register to be directed to the registration form. Your submitted abstract should describe the project, the intended theoretical contribution, the research design, the empirical approach, and the status of the project idea to date.
It is possible to attend the workshop without submitting an extended abstract. In this instance, please submit your CV by the submission deadline. Please note that registrations with extended abstract submissions will take priority over those without abstract submissions.
If you have any questions and inquiries, please contact Hannah Webb: amjeditorialassistant@gmail.com.
