Dr Kassia Beetham is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, and is the Course coordinator for the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology at ACU's Brisbane Campus.
Dr Beetham's PhD was completed at the University of Queensland in 2015. It examined the effects of a lifestyle intervention on cardiovascular risk factors in patients with chronic kidney disease. She then went on to complete postdoctoral work at the University of Sydney and Macquarie University, looking at the effects of a playground intervention in children with disability. Her current research interest is in clinical exercise physiology and women’s health, in particular, investigating the effects of exercise training during pregnancy and postpartum and the effects on infant and maternal outcomes.
