Welcome message

A message from Dr Nicola Brown, Australian Catholic University National Postgraduate Programs Coordinator:

I trust this edition of the newsletter finds you and your team well.

As one of our industry partners, you would know that undertaking postgraduate studies is a blessing and a challenge. It’s an opportunity to expand knowledge, skills and capacity in clinical practice, leadership, management and education, but also a challenge to balance the demands of study with other professional and personal demands. I was delighted to receive an email from a postgraduate student thanking us for our help and flexibility this semester while she was dealing with health, work and study challenges – and advising she still passed her units with distinction. Our team appreciates the challenges our postgraduate students face and we’ll always do our best to provide any practical support we can.

In 2023, we look forward to providing new ways for students to engage in postgraduate studies, including transitioning to a new learning management system for all postgraduate units by Semester 2. This system will have a more accessible, logical and attractive interface. We will also be reinvigorating pathways to higher degree research for students in 2023, and I’ll share more information with you soon.

On behalf of the postgraduate team and the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine, thank you for your ongoing support for our postgraduate students and working with us to help them achieve their professional aspirations.
