Aaron Cornwall
Student Veteran Services Manager – Brisbane

Aaron Cornwall currently serves as the Student Veteran Services Manager at ACU. Previously, he served as a combat engineer in the Australian Army. After transitioning from the defence force, he worked as a sole trader before stumbling into higher education. Once he commenced his studies, he realised that the Australian Defence Force (ADF) had given him the skills to excel in higher education. Since then, he has completed a Bachelor in Exercise and Sports Science and a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Exercise Rehabilitation. Aaron is now in a rewarding position to support his peers to access, transition to and succeed in higher education.

Elaine Rotor
Student Veteran Services Liaison – Melbourne

Elaine is one of your Student Veteran Liaisons. She previously served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for eight years as a logistics officer. Her post-military career is focused on community engagement in the not-for-profit, government and education sectors. She has worked at ACU for four years as a language teacher and international student advisor, and is now promoting our student veteran programs and supporting the students in achieving a university degree.

Tenille Duggan
Student Veteran Services Liaison – Brisbane

Tenille is your Student Veteran Liaison in Brisbane. Tenille is currently serving in the Army Reserves as a movements coordinator. In 2021, she began studying a Bachelor of Nursing at ACU, which she is completing part-time. She joined the SVS Team in 2022 as a peer facilitator and moved into her current role in 2023. Tenille is passionate about supporting other veterans at ACU to transition into higher education and succeed in their studies. 

Blake Allen
Student Veteran Services Peer Facilitator – Brisbane

Blake is your Student Veteran Peer Facilitator in Brisbane and brings military experience and dedication in his support of fellow student veterans at ACU. Transitioning from the Army as an UAV operator to pursuing a career in exercise and sport science, he is committed to fostering community and assisting the Student Veteran Services (SVS) team in facilitating activities. Blake actively volunteers, coaches athletics and advocates for veterans’ education. With his leadership, student veterans can rely on him as a supportive peer and advocate for their success. 

Caleb Ellis
Student Veteran Services Peer Facilitator – Brisbane

Caleb is your Student Veteran Peer Facilitator in Brisbane. Caleb served four years in the Australian Regular Army and has continued his service as a Reservist. He is currently in his second year of studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science. Caleb enjoys engaging with his fellow student veterans on the Brisbane Campus.

Lincoln Trainor
Student Veteran Services Peer Facilitator – Melbourne

Lincoln is your Student Veteran Peer Facilitator in Melbourne. He had the privilege of serving more than 18 years in the Royal Australian Navy as a Maritime Warfare Officer and Scientist achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Before commencing his Bachelor of Paramedicine in 2023, Lincoln was the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of a global technology company. He is the President of ACU’s Melbourne Student Veterans Society, Vice President of the St Patrick’s Student Paramedics Society and an elected member of ACU’s Academic Board. As a lifelong learner with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science, and a commitment to community service, Lincoln has a passion for education and supporting the community and veterans.
