Overview

This TESOL specialisation is designed specifically for educators who wish to teach English to students for whom English is a second or additional language. This specialisation will help you explore theories of second language acquisition and also of different 'language teaching' methods. You will critically examine current research and practice in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in both national and international contexts and learn to apply these theoretical perspectives to particular classroom contexts. The specialisation requires you to complete six hours of supervised English language teaching practice in order to graduate with a named specialisation in TESOL.
