To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed a professional qualification in paramedicine, be employed as a paramedic and be registered as a paramedic with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 80 cp consisting of:
- 70 cp from Core units (Part A);
- 10 cp from Elective units (Part B).
