Unit rationale, description and aim

The unit identifies and explores core religious content and the significance of religious leadership in a Catholic school. The unit emphasises the development of skills and capacities in classroom teachers, co-ordinators and middle managers that enhance their professional commitment to the promotion of the vision and mission of the Catholic school.

This unit is designed to meet accreditation requirements to teach in a Catholic School. It specifically addresses requirements for Category C Accreditation for Leadership in a Catholic School in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory and CECV Policy 1.6 in Victoria.
