Unit rationale, description and aim

This unit is an advanced study of the Gospel of John, giving attention to its theology and spirituality within its first century historical, social and religious contexts. Both historical and narrative critical methods will be used. The unit is designed to meet the pastoral, educational and liturgical needs of the participants. Passages from the Gospel will be selected for particular study, primarily from chapters 1-12, 18-20.
