Unit rationale, description and aim

This unit extends the knowledge gained in BMSC205 Neuroscience 1. Students will begin by investigating the motor functions of the nervous system including mechanisms for the control of movement and posture as well as neurological diseases and processes which can cause disordered motor control. The latter half of the semester will be devoted to higher functions, including an exploration of learning, memory and the control of behaviour.
