Unit rationale, description and aim

This unit provides students with the opportunity to synthesise theory and experience acquired in previous and concurrent units in order to prepare them for a specific nursing context. Students will actively engage in critical reflection on their ability to undertake appropriate assessment(s) and maintain holistic perspectives and cultural awareness during the delivery of nursing care to the person, family and community across the life span. This unit will allow students to explore nursing care and/or health from a speciality and/or international perspective. Students will critically evaluate their practice in order to create new knowledge from which they may develop further, both personally and professionally.
