The unit will extend students learning by exploring and analysing the policy dimension of social work practice in the Australian context. Students will examine how social policy frameworks explain the development and implementation of policy in both government and non-government contexts. Students will have the opportunity to engage in current local social policy practice issues and to conceptualise their public policy work as central to social work practice.
