For Sydney students, Philosophy units are taught at the Strathfield campus and Law units at the North Sydney campus.

EFTSL value of units : All 10cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a credit point (cp) value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

Completion requirements

To qualify for the double degree, a student must complete 400 cp that meet all of the following requirements:

1. 130 cp selected in accordance with the requirements for the Bachelor of Philosophy, consisting of:
2. 70 cp from Specified Philosophy Units (Part A);
3. 60 cp from Philosophy Elective Units (Part B);
4. 20 cp Core Curriculum Units (Part C).
5. 250 cp selected in accordance with the requirements for the Bachelor of Laws, consisting of:
6. 180 cp from Law Specified units (Part D);
7. 10 cp from Community Legal Engagement: Pro Bono Unit (Part E);
8. 20 cp from Law Elective Units (Part F);
9. 10 cp from LAWS450 Legal Research and Methodology (Part G);
10. 30 cp LAWS451 Honours Thesis (Part H)

To qualify for the Honours degree, at least four of the units taken from the Law Specified Units and/or the Law Elective Units must be at level 4. To qualify for the degree, a student must also complete at least 80 hours of 0cp pro bono placement after completion of LAWS213 Community Engagement: Pro Bono.

Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator.

Progression requirements

Students normally complete units at an introductory level (100-level) before undertaking second year units, and again must complete designated second year units before progressing to third and fourth year (300, 400 level) units.
