To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12, or equivalent:

Definition
“Minor”: 40 cp in prescribed units in one discipline, normally including at least 10 cp at introductory level and at least 20 cp at advanced level.
Completion requirements
To qualify for the pass degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 140 cp from Psychology Specified Units (Part A);
- 10 cp from Philosophy Specified Unit (Part B);
- 40 cp from Minor Units (Part C);
- 20 cp from University Core Curriculum Units (Part D);
- 10 cp from Psychology Community Engagement Unit (Part E);
- 20 cp from Elective Units (at least one psychology elective) (Part F)
Progression requirements
Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator.
Progression Requirements for students transferring to the BPsych(Hons)
Students in the Bachelor of Psychological Science who have a GPA of 5.50 on the ACU seven point scale at the end of their second year may be eligible to transfer into the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours). Students who transfer to the BPsych(Hons) must then maintain their GPA of 5.50 on the ACU seven point scale in their third year in order to be eligible to continue to the Honours year. In addition, students will be required to achieve at least four (4) Distinctions in the psychology units undertaken in the second and third year of the program. Students who do not meet these requirements might be eligible to exit with a Bachelor of Psychological Science.
