Disasters are a relatively common experience worldwide. Health care delivery is one of the most fundamental components in the immediate response and subsequent recovery from a disaster. Paramedics are often called upon to form an important part of the health recovery efforts of disaster response teams, by performing a number of roles in both clinical and non-clinical areas.
