EFTSL value of units : All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
Admission requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy that includes meeting a minimum ATAR requirement.
International students must meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy .
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12, or equivalent:

Additional Approvals
Requirements for working with children: All students enrolled must have the appropriate approvals before they undertake DVST307 International Development Global Experience or DVST306 Working in Development). These are: Working with Children Check (if the placement involves working with children) and/or a National Police check. International students must bring police check documentation from their own countries. All students who have lived in another country for 12 months or more must provide a police check from that country for that period.

Completion requirements
To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 220 cp from specified units including:
- 80 cp from International Development Studies major (Part A)
- 10 cp from Community Development unit (Part B)
- 50 cp from Global Studies units (Part C)
- 40 cp from Arts Minor (Part D) OR 40 cp of electives from the Bachelor of Arts and/or Diploma in Languages units (Part E)
- 20 cp from Research Methods units (Part F)
- 20 cp from Fieldwork units (Part G) and
- 20 cp from Core Curriculum units (Part H)
Exit points
Students who have met the requirements of the Diploma in Liberal Arts can exit with that award.
Progression requirements
Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator.
