Unit rationale, description and aim

This final clinical integration unit provides students with the opportunity to synthesise theory and experience acquired in previous and concurrent units to prepare for transition from student to graduate nurse. The use of simulated and supervised clinical learning environments will guide students' critical reflection and evaluation of their knowledge and skills to develop their own style of nursing practice. Students will undertake an extended period of clinical practice, with a preceptorship model of supervision, to facilitate transition to professional practice.
