To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent:

Assumed knowledge: Mathematics Advanced (not Mathematics Standard 2)

Victoria

Units 3 and 4 – a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in any other English.

International applicants need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

Completion requirements

To qualify for the Pass degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings:

  1. 220 cp from the Specified Units consisting of:
  2. 160 cp from Information Technology Specified Units (Part A)
  3. 40 cp from Information Technology Electives or from the Schedule of Unit Offerings for any other ACU Bachelor degree courses (Part B)
  4. 10 cp from BUSN113 Managing People and Organisations (Part C)
  5. 10 cp from Community Engagement Unit (Part D)
  6. 20 cp from Core Curriculum Units (Part E)

Progression requirements

Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator. A unit can only be classified as an advanced unit if it has more than one prerequisite in hierarchy. Australian Computer Society (ACS) accreditation requires at least four advanced units.
