The Australian Government offers Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarships to support both domestic and international candidates undertaking a Research Doctorate or Research Masters degree.

Successful applicants will be awarded:

Tuition Fee Scholarship
RTP Allowance (Overseas Student Health Care Policy)
  • AUD $32,192* per annum (full-time)
  • AUD $16,096* per annum (part-time) 

Paid as a fortnightly stipend to assist with general living costs whilst you study.

* 2024 value, indexed annually.

  • Domestic candidates receive a Research Training Program Fees Offset Scholarship
  • International candidates receive an ACU Tuition Fee Scholarship

This scholarship pays for your tuition fees.

The RTP Allowance (Overseas Student Health Care Policy) will cover the cost of one Overseas Student Health Care Policy for international candidates.

Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarships are funded by the Australian Government and are awarded and administered in accordance with the ACU Research Training Program Scholarship Policy.

Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarships are open to all applicants whose research aligns with any of ACU's broad areas of expertise. Outstanding MPhil and PhD applicants are invited in the following priority areas:
