Dr Flora He obtained her PhD from the Australian National University (ANU) in 2014, investigating the contributing factors related to acculturative stress among international students who are studying undergraduate nursing courses in Australia. A mixed methods design was used for this research.

After completing the PhD project, in collaboration with colleagues at Charles Darwin University (CDU) in 2014-2016, Dr He conducted two cross-sectional studies on undergraduate students' self-directed learning experience and psychological well-being, which produced two publications.

Dr He also participated in supervising HDR students as an associate supervisor at CDU (2014-2016) and an assistant supervisor at ACU (2018-2019), with one completion of Master's by Research.

Dr He's research interests include international student experiences; student psychological issues; student academic dishonesty; innovative teaching and learning; e-learning; cultural aspects of teacher practice; and palliative care.

Having a teaching-focused pathway, Dr He endeavours to pursue research projects and publications. Her six articles were published in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, such as Nurse Education Today and the International Journal of Nursing Studies (see ORCID iD above).

Dr He is currently conducting systematic reviews with her colleagues. Hopefully, she will have more publications in the near future.
