Dr Iain Dutia is a Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the School of Allied Health at the Australian Catholic University. He is also a research officer within the School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences at The University of Queensland.
Iain has a background in physiotherapy, with experience in physical activity for people with disability. His clinical and research interests are in the physical and mental health benefits of competitive Para sport. He co-ordinates the ParaSTART program: a training and research program for people with complex disabilities participating in Para sport. He is a member of the World Para Swimming high support needs working group. Iain is a Para athletics medical classifier, and sits on classification advisory panels for both Athletics Australia and Paralympics Australia.
