Dr Kathleen McGuire is a Teaching-Focussed Lecturer in Education (Music) and National Coordinator of Professional Experience Placements and Partnerships in the National School of Education, Faculty of Education and Arts (FEA), Australian Catholic University (ACU). She teaches Music Education and Professional Experience in the Initial Teacher Education courses. She was awarded the ACU Citation for Contributions to Student Learning (2022), the Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Community Engagement (2021), and an Excellence in Teaching award from the FEA (2021). She also received Teaching Development Grants in 2020 and 2021.

Description: 45-minute choral and instrumental work in collaboration with Andy Payne and Jonathon Welch. Commissioned by the School of Hard Knocks. Has received 30+ performances internationally.

- Title: No Excuses! (2015 – 2016).
Description: Choral suite for women, inspired by true stories from women survivors of family/domestic violence. 30-minute work in collaboration with Dr Christina Green. Performed nationally and featured on Iran International TV, ABC TV and Radio, SBS TV and Radio, and The Australian Women’s Weekly.
