Inspired by Saint Mary MacKillop Katie is motivated by her belief that all students deserve a quality education. Therefore, teachers must inspire their students to love learning. Katie encourages and mentor's pre-service teachers to experience a regional, rural or remote placement during their studies.

Katie is a PhD student with the University of Canberra, focusing on the use and impact of technology tools in initial teacher education globally.
