Marie is a lecturer and early career researcher in the National School of Education at Australian Catholic University. Marie has a background in early childhood education and care with experience in both teaching and leadership spanning more than 20 years in prior to school early childhood contexts. Marie's doctoral research focused on leadership in early childhood education and care - specifically on the ways that leadership is discursively produced. Through her ongoing research, Marie seeks to disrupt taken-for-granted ideas about leadership by exploring how early childhood leaders produce understandings about leadership.
