Matt commenced his career in ambulance in 2007 and became a paramedic with Ambulance Victoria in 2010.
Matt started working as a sessional academic with ACU in 2014 before being employed as a lecturer in 2016 where he held additional roles such as sessional staff liaison and deputy course co-ordinator.
Between 2018 and 2020 Matt returned to Ambulance Victoria leading the development and implementation of a State-wide, multi-agency model for high-performance CPR in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest resuscitation. Matt presented at interstate and international conferences and his team was awarded the Council of Ambulance Authorities award for Clinical Excellence (2019). Matt has continued in his role of lecturer in paramedicine at ACU since 2020 and is currently undertaking a Master of Education at The University of Melbourne.
