I am a certified practising speech pathologist with clinical and research experience in child speech, language, and literacy difficulties. My research is clinically driven with the aim of contributing to the evidence on how to understand communication difficulties, assess, and provide effective intervention for children and their families. I have a particular interest in speech sound disorders. Clinically, I work in education with an interest in evidence-based communication, reading and spelling instruction in the primary school setting. I also have a passion for higher education and working with undergraduate students. I believe everyone has a unique contribution to make to our profession with the goal of optimising communication and swallowing for people in our communities.
