Are you living with type 2 diabetes and want help with your glucose management?

Dietary changes and glucose monitoring are two important aspects of type 2 diabetes self-management. While dietary modifications are often considered a first-line intervention for people with type 2 diabetes, many individuals are unable to engage with a sufficient number of dietetic services or act on advice. This project aims to investigate the effects dietary education (administered by a dietitian), with or without continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), on glycaemic management over a 6-month period in individuals living with type 2 diabetes.

  • This study is conducted remotely - you can live anywhere!
  • 6 months duration

All participants will receive:

  • Four sessions of telehealth dietetic support for glucose management
  • HbA1c, glucose, and lipid testing at your local pathology centre

You may also receive glucose monitors for use alongside the dietetic support.

To be eligible for this study you must:

  • Be aged 18+ years
  • Have a confirmed type 2 diabetes diagnosis
  • A current HbA1c of at least 7.0%
  • Not taking insulin
  • Have a smartphone and access to internet services (for telehealth)
