Impact Statements are a great way to let the donor know how your scholarship has been assisting you in your studies, and to thank them for their generous support. Unless advised otherwise, your Impact Statement/Annual Report is due on October 1 in each year that you receive a scholarship payment.
If you have received payments for two different scholarships, you will need to submit a separate Impact Statement for each.
Below are some examples of what you might include:
- How the scholarship has assisted you and the impact it has had on your ability to study (e.g., able to work fewer hours allowing you to concentrate on your study)
- How you have been able to use the funding (e.g., textbooks, living expenses)
- If applicable, how the scholarship has assisted you in undertaking a placement, by contributing to travel and accommodation costs.
- If your scholarship funded overseas study, please describe your experience, activities and learning. How will these support your future study, practice and career.
- You may also wish to thank the donor for their support.
*Recipients of the George Alexander Foundation (GAF) Scholarships are required to submit an Annual Report instead of an Impact Statement. Please use this Annual Report template (DOC).
