Ramsay Scholarship Acceptance Form (Undergraduate)

By accepting this offer, I understand and agree that in addition to the conditions outlined in the ACU Scholarships and Awards Policy:

1. Deferral of this scholarship is not permitted.
2. I must maintain full-time enrolment of 40 credit points per semester (or above) in one of the following: Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation), Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation)/Bachelor of Laws, or Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation)/Master of Teaching (Secondary) program at the North Sydney campus.
3. I must pass all attempted units and maintain a minimum GPA of 4 (on the ACU seven-point scale).
4. The Scholarship is valid for the duration of the Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation), Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation)/Bachelor of Laws, or Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation)/Master of Teaching (Secondary) program on the basis of full-time study load.
5. I may not hold any other ACU scholarship in addition to the ACU Ramsay Scholarship.
6. The scholarship is valued at up to $96,000 for students enrolling in the Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation) $144,000 for students enrolling in the Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation)/ Master of Teaching (Secondary) $160,000 for students enrolling in the Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation)/Bachelor of Laws.
7. I understand that the scholarship payments will be as following:
   • In the first year of my scholarship, if from a remote area, I will be paid the first instalment of $3,000 from the total annual value of the scholarship in the first week of study. The remaining annual balance will be paid in two equal instalments after the census dates in the first and second semesters of study.
   • If I am not from a remote area, I will be paid $2,500 of the total annual value of the Scholarship in the first week of study, with the remaining annual balance to be paid in two equal instalments after the census dates in the first and second semesters.
   • Payments in subsequent years will be made in two equal payments, each within six weeks following the main census dates.
   • Scholarship payments are made via electronic transfer. It is my responsibility to ensure my current bank details in Student Connect (go to 'My Fees', 'Banking Details') is accurate at least two weeks prior to the scheduled payments.
8. If I participate in an approved study abroad program as part of the Program, I may be entitled to the overseas travel allowances at the discretion of the Program Director. Any unused overseas travel allowances are not payable. To apply for this allowance, I will need to contact Director, Western Civilisation Program via email directorwesterncivilsation@acu.edu.au
9. It is my responsibility to determine if the receipt of a scholarship will have taxation implications or affect my social security entitlements. I acknowledge that ACU recommends I obtain advice from an accountant or visit the Australian Taxation Office website and use the 'Is my scholarship taxable' interactive decision tool.
10. It is my responsibility to notify the ACU Scholarships Office if there are any changes to my circumstances that would affect my eligibility for this scholarship.
11. In the following circumstances, ACU will withdraw my scholarship, and I may be required to repay any scholarship to which I am not entitled but which was paid to me:
• The University may terminate the scholarship, if:
  1. I have provided false or misleading information.
  2. I commit a serious misconduct.
  3. I have been suspended or excluded for academic or general misconduct under ACU policies and regulations.
  4. I have been overpaid or payment was made to me in error.
  5. I no longer meet the eligibility criteria.
• On terms to be agreed between myself and ACU and where agreement is not reached, within 14 days of being requested to do so by ACU, if I incorrectly received the scholarship when I should not have in that I did not meet the eligibility criteria.
12. I understand that all future correspondence from the Scholarships Office will be conducted electronically via my ACU student email account.

I consent for my name and application details to be used in future promotional activities relating to this scholarship and/or the Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation), Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation)/Bachelor of Laws, or Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation)/Master of Teaching (Secondary) program.
