By accepting this offer, I understand and agree that in addition to the conditions outlined in the ACU Scholarships and Awards Policy:
1. Deferral of this scholarship is not permitted.
2. I must maintain part-time enrolment of minimum 40 credit points per year in Master of Liberal Arts (Western Civilisation)
3. I must maintain a minimum Pass grade for all units which I am enrolled in the previous study period.
4. If I do not complete the Master of Liberal Arts (Western Civilisation) in 3 years, I may remain enrolled to complete the award, but I will be ineligible to receive further scholarship payments.
5. I may not hold any other ACU scholarship in addition to the ACU Ramsay Scholarship.
6. I understand that the scholarship payments will be as following:
a) This scholarship is valued at up to maximum of $30,000
b) In my first semester, if from a remote area I will receive $1,500 of the scholarship in my first week of study to help with my start-up costs. This amount will be deducted from my first Semester payment.
c) If I am not from non-remote area, I will receive $1,250 of my scholarship in the first week of study to help me with start-up costs This amount will be deducted from my first Semester payment.
d) Payments in subsequent semesters will be calculated based on credit points. For every 10 credit points $2,500 will be paid, with up to a maximum of $10,000 per calendar year.
e) Scholarship payments are made within six weeks following the main census dates via electronic transfer. It is my responsibility to ensure my current bank details in Student Connect (go to 'My Fees', 'Banking Details') is accurate at least two weeks prior to the scheduled payments.
7. It is my responsibility to determine if the receipt of a scholarship will have taxation implications or affect my social security entitlements. I acknowledge that ACU recommends I obtain advice from an accountant or visit the Australian Taxation Office website and use the 'Is my scholarship taxable' interactive decision tool.
8. It is my responsibility to notify the ACU Scholarships Office if there are any changes to my circumstances that would affect my eligibility for this scholarship.
9. In the following circumstances, ACU will withdraw my scholarship, and I may be required to repay any scholarship to which I am not entitled but which was paid to me:
a) The University may terminate the scholarship, if:
I. I have provided false or misleading information.
II. I commit a serious misconduct.
III. I have been suspended or excluded for academic or general misconduct under ACU policies and regulations.
IV. I have been overpaid or payment was made to me in error.
V. I no longer meet the eligibility criteria.
b) On terms to be agreed between myself and ACU and where agreement is not reached, within 14 days of being requested to do so by ACU, if I incorrectly received the scholarship when I should not have in that I did not meet the eligibility criteria.
10. I understand that all future correspondence from the Scholarships Office will be conducted electronically via my ACU student email account.
