Admission requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree, a student must have completed at least 120 cp of LAWS units from the Bachelor of Laws degree, with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 5.50.
International students need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

Completion requirements
To qualify for the double degree, a student must complete 400 cp that meet all of the following requirements:
- 130 cp selected in accordance with the requirements for the Bachelor of Philosophy, consisting of:
- 70 cp from Specified Philosophy Units (Part A);
- 60 cp from Philosophy Elective Units (Part B);
- 20 cp Core Curriculum Units (Part C).
- 250 cp selected in accordance with the requirements for the Bachelor of Laws, consisting of:
- 180 cp from Law Specified units (Part D);
- 10 cp from Community Legal Engagement: Pro Bono Unit (Part E);
- 20 cp from Law Elective Units (Part F);
- 10 cp from LAWS450 Legal Research and Methodology (Part G);
- 30 cp LAWS451 Honours Thesis (Part H)
To qualify for the Honours degree, at least four of the units taken from the Law Specified Units and/or the Law Elective Units must be at level 4. To qualify for the degree, a student must also complete at least 80 hours of 0cp pro bono placement after completion of LAWS213 Community Engagement: Pro Bono.
Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator.
