Undergraduate domestic applications via Tertiary Admissions Centre (TAC)

If you're a domestic student and want to apply for an undergraduate degree such as a bachelors, you'll find information about application opening and closing dates at your local state tertiary admissions centre website:

  • NSW and ACT: For undergraduate domestic applications to our North Sydney, Strathfield and Canberra campuses, visit the UAC website.
  • Qld: For undergraduate domestic applications to our Brisbane campus, visit the QTAC website.
  • Vic: For undergraduate domestic applications to our Ballarat and Melbourne campuses, visit the VTAC website.

Who can apply direct?

We accept direct applications from the following applicants:

  • Undergraduate courses: international applicants, domestic non-school leavers
  • Postgraduate courses: domestic and international applicants
  • Research degrees: domestic and international applicants
  • Pathway programs: domestic and international applicants.

Undergraduate domestic applications

Most undergraduate domestic applications will occur via your local state tertiary admissions centre (see above).

However, we accept direct entry in a small number of circumstances, including:

  • After QTAC, UAC or VTAC applications are closed
  • You are a non-school leaver. This includes applicants who've been in the workforce full-time, or those who've been studying at another tertiary institution.

Most ACU Courses allow you to defer your course for up to 12 months. To keep the offered place in your course, fill in the deferment form and we will contact you when it is time to get ready for study.

Research courses

ACU accepts applications for research candidature throughout the year for all courses.

It is recommended that applicants submit their full application for assessment (completed in full) at least 12 weeks prior to their proposed commencement date.

Commencement periods include Research Term A and Research Term C; candidates can commence on any date between the first date of the term, up to and including the census date.
