Admission requirements

Definition
A Major consists of 80 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at 100-level, at least 40 cp at 200-level and at least 20 cp from 300-level
A Minor consists of 40 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at 100-level and at least 20 cp at 200/300-level.
Completion requirements
To qualify for the award a student must complete 320 cp comprising:
1. 180cp from the Bachelor of Theology units (Part A) including:
a. 80 cp from Major in either Biblical Studies or Christian Thought (Part A.1)
b. 40 cp from Minor in either Biblical Studies or Christian Thought in the alternative discipline to a. above (Part A.2)
c. 40 cp from Minor OR 40 cp from Elective units (Part A.3)
d. 10 cp from Community Engagement unit (Part A.4)
e. 10 cp from Integrated Study unit (Part A.5)
2. 120 cp from the Bachelor of Global Studies units (Part B) including:
a. 40 cp of Global Studies Specified units (Part B.1)
b. 40 cp of Global Studies Elective units OR 1 Minor (Part B.2)
c. 40 cp from Global Studies International Experience units (Part B.3)
3. 20 cp from Core Curriculum units (Part C)
Exit points
Students who have completed 40 cp in Theology units, including THBS100 Introduction to the Bible and THCT100 What Christians Believe, may exit with the Non-Award Certificate in Theology.
Students who have completed 80 cp in Theology units, including THBS100 Introduction to the Bible and THCT100 What Christians Believe, may exit with the Diploma in Theology.
Students who have met the requirements of the Diploma in Liberal Arts can exit with that award.
Progression requirements
Students normally complete 100-level units before undertaking related 200-level units, and 200-level units before undertaking related 300-level units.
